28: [Video] Hot For Teacher

dashboardliteSo, uh. It's come to my attention that whenever events roll around, everybody's usually running through the halls like chickens with their friggin' heads cut off. So today we're gonna fix that, 'cause this is what I do for a living.
[It appears that Dean is in the kitchen, and has covered an entire countertop with assorted objets d'hunting.]
Got a coupla basics here. Salt. [He lifts up a canister of the stuff.] Purifying chemical compound. Burns ghosts, but won't keep 'em away for long. You can protect yourself by drawing a circle with it and stayin' inside. Iron- [Dean gestures to the crowbar.] Also purifying, harms malevolent spirits.
[With a click, he's got a Zippo lighter out and lit.] Whole bunch of stuff is gonna hafta be burned. [Out goes the lighter.] Usually the remains of a dead person, so you might get your hands dirty, fair warning.
[Dean pockets the Zippo and leans in for a dramatic close-up on the camera.]
Where I come from, monsters are real. And they're not about to go away - especially not in Wonderland. You can either sit here with your thumbs up your asses, or be ready. I'm gonna take questions about whatever stuff you wanna throw at me, so knock yourselves out. Class is in session.

Date: 2011-10-10 09:39 pm (UTC)It's held up fine so far. I suspect I can't apparate away without splinching myself between here and home though. I'm not sure getting out of here would be worth it if I had to leave my torso behind. But I can use it if I don't feel like taking the stairs!

That aside, I haven't come across anything. I haven't really tried to push the limits of it though, so who knows? My broom works, and so have all the spells I've tried so far, but there might be something.

You guys must be different from the ones we got where I'm from. Witches and warlocks are kind of douchebags. Selling their souls to Satan, killing people. Stuff like that.

Oh, I see. That's a bit rough. There's nothing Satanic about being magical where I'm from, but that doesn't really stop Muggles from assuming so - oh, that's non-magic folk, by the way. So you, in other words.

Anyhow, most of us are just fine. We have our share of horrible people though. [] We have some wizards obsessed with how magical their blood is, and they think Muggles are sort of lesser beings because they aren't magical at all. They also think Muggle-born witches and wizards are somehow not as good as purebloods, but that's just ridiculous. Most of the time, bigots like that will just be snobby and irritating, but unfortunately some of them use the Dark Arts to go out and hurt Muggles and Muggle-borns.

Date: 2011-10-17 11:06 pm (UTC)[Jesus H. Christ, and he thought things couldn't possibly get any weirder. Bad witches and good witches is starting to feel pointedly like The Wizard of Oz, and Dean has long-since known that he isn't in Kansas anymore.]
